HOW I WORK
MY APPROACH
I build a supportive relationship with my clients, enabling them to begin to identify and address very personal problems.
Through self-awareness, a deeper sense of Self has space to grow.
THE GOAL
During our work together I may draw on a variety of approaches, if it seems relevant and appropriate. These include aspects of further training I have undertaken, such as Attachment Theory, Gestalt, Family Systems Theory and working with The Arts.
Therapy may be long or short term, but the goal is always the same;
To connect with and get to know yourself better
To discover a more settled and comfortable internal world to live your life from
A SAFE SPACE
I provide a quiet, safe space for individuals or couples to explore difficult issues and anxieties in a supportive, confidential environment.
Here, you can talk and think in ways rarely possible with friends and family.
COUPLE THERAPY
In couple therapy, the work attends to both individuals as well as the couple. As life unfolds, couples often find it hard to make time to communicate or spend time together to discuss differences and concerns. Pressure builds in the relationship that can often cause resentment and hurt to fester.
In therapy, both partners are encouraged to air their differences to make space for collaborative resolution - whether or not the couple decides to remain together, or part.
USEFUL INFORMATION
I can offer online sessions using video call platforms (e.g. Skype, WhatsApp, Facetime or Zoom), telephone sessions, or face to face - respecting social distancing measures as required.
Sessions last 1 hour. My fee is £50 an hour for individuals and £70 an hour for couples.
I practise Monday to Friday, between 9.30am and 7.30pm.
